Prominent Democrats aren’t the only high-profile politicos on the road in New Hampshire in behalf of presidential candidates. Channel 4 reports that Lu Hardin, a member of the Huckabee administration back in the day and now president of the University of Central Arkansas, is on the snowy ground working hard for the Huckabee campaign.
“Meet with the press, meet with education groups, and talk about what an outstanding record Governor Huckabee had for over ten years as governor of Arkansas in K-12 and also higher education. So that’ll be my mission over the next few days,” UCA President Lu Hardin said.
And President Hardin says one example of Huckabee’s positive education record — was the increase in scholarships available to Arkansas students while he was governor.
Note to any national press that might be checking in here: Lu Hardin is one of those admirable and courageous college leaders who said (and he reiterated it to us days ago) that his institution would admit and aid all Arkansas high school graduates, without regard to their immigration status, as long as they were working to obtain legal status. Huck’s man, in other words, has been helping those dreaded illegal aliens.
