Steve Harrelson’s Under the Dome blog for a bigger view of this map, but it shows, by county, the church denomination with the highest population percentage in the U.S. That splash of red across 14 states in the lower quadrant — Baptist, of course. Catholics dominate elsewhere, with some pockets of Mormon, Lutheran and Methodist strength. (A black dot means the denomination constitutes a majority of a particular county.)

Presidential implications? I think so.
