The Arkansas Economic Development Commission has hired a new person to staff its office in Japan. Makes a certain amount of sense.

Hideichiro Chikahiro, former president of Hino Motors Manufacturing USA, Inc., has been named director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission’s Japan Office. He replaces Yutaka Kajita who is retiring and has been director of the Japan Office since 1995.  The announcement was made by Maria Luisa M. Haley, AEDC executive director.
