Former head of the Arkansas Democratic Party Jason Willett tells us that he’s planning a run for Jonesboro mayor. Current mayor Doug Forman announced earlier this month that he won’t seek reelection. Willett, who is now a lobbyist for FJW Consulting, said he would make the area’s economic development the focal point of his candidacy. “Jonesboro is growing and progressive, and I think the next mayor is key,” Willett said. “We’re all looking for the next big super project.”
