I’m in the Hong Kong airport, and homeward bound, finally with some Internet access that isn’t glacial. Catching up on Arkansas, I came across Gene Lyon’s column today on the Clinton-Obama race and his clear-eyed take on those anxious to crown Obama and be done with the contest. Since the Obamaists haven’t had a chance to howl for a few hours, why not another opportunity now?
Political note from China: I went to a Democrats Abroad happy hour in a Hong Kong pub two nights ago. Obama was the clear favorite among the gathering. But there was a refreshing absence of the anti-Hillary bile that seems to drive many Obamaists. Members of this group had eyes firmly on the prize — anybody but a Republican in the White House.
