An Arkansas Blog special:

The Arkansas Times invites 50 Arkansas Blog readers to see The Rep’s performance of “Fire on the Mountain” this Friday, June 6.  It’s on us! Rousing bluegrass, blues and traditional music, accented by powerful photo images, tell the poignant story of the Appalachian coal miner. All you need to do is RSVP to us — phyllis@arktimes.com — with the names of attendees (limit 2 per RSVP) and then pick up your tickets at the box office Will Call window that evening.  Doors open at 7 pm and the performance starts at 8 p.m. Running time just 90 minutes.

Concessions/bar available, but you’re on your own there!

UPDATE: What a response. All gone in 90 minutes’ time. But you can still buy tickets to the show, which sounds like a winner. I have my season tickets in hand. And, by the way, the Rep has a big announcement tomorrow — a fund drive for significant improvements to the Main Street headquarters, I believe.
