We stirred up some lively comments Friday by posting a trial column by Lauryn Smith, who will soon begin a  blog for us on Little Rock life as seen by a young professional, who, among other things, happens to be single, sings in a band and loves to write.

She got roughed up a bit — though she had admirers, too — and has now offered a little bit of an elaboration on some presumptions drawn by some readers.
