The House approved a financial bailout package today on the second try, 263-171. According to Jonathan Martin and Mike Allen, two Politico writers who spoke during the noon hour at the Clinton School, this will be good news for John McCain. He hopes to change the subject from economics, a subject which he has famously said he knows little about. Don’t think this vote solves much, however, even if it does serve to stabilize markets for a time.
