Tony Alamo, the Fouke, Arkansas-based “evangelist” who was arrested in Flagstaff Arizona in late September, has been scheduled to appear before United States Magistrate Judge Barry Bryant in Texarkana Friday morning at 10 a.m.

According to an FBI release at the time of the arrest, Alamo was arrested for transporting a minor (under 18) across state lines “with the intent to engage in sexual activity that would be a criminal offense under state law.”

To say Alamo is a little out there might be an understatement.  John Williams interviewed Alamo in an item that appeared on the Times blog on Sept., 22.
