As The Insider indicated two weeks ago would happen:

President Obama has nominated former legislator Chris Thyer of Jonesboro to be U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. This was one of the vacancies caught up in political intrigue, White House foot-dragging and other stuff. The appointment is subject to Senate confirmation.

Also today: The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nominaton of P.K. Holmes of Fort Smith to a federal district judgeship. I can’t imagine why he wouldn’t be confirmed. That still leaves Arkansas with two judicial vacancies for which there is no nominee.
