It’s dangerous out there, judging by morning cop reports.
* DRUGS ARE DANGEROUS: Police say two men were shot after driving to 17th and Johnson Street about 12:45 a.m. today to buy drugs. When they stopped there, according to Flemon Harrison III, 31, a man walked up to their van and started shooting. Harrison was hit in the arm. A passenger, Gary Davis, 53, was shot in the chest. They were in stable condition at UAMS, police said.
* HORSE KILLED IN WRECK: The sheriff’s office said a horse was killed and another injured when five horses ran in front of a motorist, Charlie Beck of White Hall, on Col. Glen Road near Irene Road about 2:28 a.m. yesterday and he was unable to stop. The horses were stabled nearby.
* ROBBERY: Exxon at 7700 Scott Hamilton was robbed by a gunman about 10:30 p.m. last night.
* SHOTS FIRED: Police, responding to a report of shots fired shortly after midnight this morning at 1600 John Barrow Road, took a suspect into custody and learned he was wanted on a warrant for robbery and theft. They added a terroristic act charge against Darnel Louden, 24, and seized a .40-caliber handgun.
