I became a big fan of Nate Silver, the New York Times’ number cruncher and political analyst, during the 2012 presidential election, so I’m obligated to report the bad news he issues. too. Today, Silver predicts — with a number of caveats — that the Republican Party could hold 50 to 51 seats in the U.S. Senate after the 2014 election.
