Hopefully you’re out enjoying this beautiful Sunday, but just in case, here’s Open Line Round Two. And consider this your spot for “Breaking Bad” predictions…Max claims to have gotten bored this season, but me and Lindsey are still white-knuckled. A few odds and ends, closing out…

*WWJD: I know He just wants attention, but this is too good:

There was also His initial response to the “kind and spiritual words” tweet from Wright: “you liberal activists call us names, hurl insults, spread lies and badger conservatives — then you whine when we call you out.” This despite all the name-calling and whining coming from…well, yeah.

It’s all there, isn’t it? The self-pity, the God complex. Lord (not Jason) help us.

*SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED: Thus far, the Republican primary race for state Senate District 21 (Paul Bookout’s seat) has been chock-full of the sorts of drama that regular voters don’t pay attention to, but make things more lively for the political class. The latest: the folks at Impact Management, which represents candidate John Cooper, tweeted a photo of a taunting letter (and the Niell campaign envelope it came in) that they believe came from opponent Chad Niell. The letter reads, “Dear John, our first poll shows you at 18%. Hope it gets Better for you. Best regards, Chad Niell.” Ouch! Is it real? Who knows, but Blue Hog Report, which has tussled with the Niell campaign, claims via Twitter that the signature matches Niell’s on his state licensing documents.

*GUNS FOR THE BLIND? I’m a week late on this but just came upon this story out of Iowa.

Here’s some news that has law enforcement officials and lawmakers scratching their heads:

Iowa is granting permits to acquire or carry guns in public to people who are legally or completely blind.

No one questions the legality of the permits. State law does not allow sheriffs to deny an Iowan the right to carry a weapon based on physical ability.

The whole story is worth a read.
