Politico has published a round of polling in key U.S. Senate races, including Republican extremist Tom Cotton’s challenge of incumbent Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor.
Polling was done by Harper Polling for the Republican super PAC, American Crossroads. It’s better for Pryor than the recent Talk Business-Hendrix College poll that showed Pryor ahead 42-41, but with a 34-48 approve/disapprove rating.
The Republican poll shows Pryor leading 45-42, with 13 percent undecided.
It is sharply better in the approval rating category.
On general feelings, the respondents rated Pryor 46-37-13 (favorable/unfavorable/unsure). Cotton polled at 37-26-37.
Job performance:
Pryor finished 45-40-15 (approve/disapprove/unsure).
The sample disagreed, 47-45, with the notion that things were so bad in Washington everyone should be thrown out.
The polls also showed Democratic incumbents leading narrowly in Alaska and Louisiana, but a Republican leading for an open West Virginia seat now held by a Democrat.
