I’m on the road today, heading back from Thanksgiving in Florida with the in-laws, who would find themselves on the right-wing end of the Arkansas legislature. Among the many things I am thankful for, a small one: lovely and loving people with radically different views can, with ease, quit yapping about politics for a while and simply enjoy good food and good company.

I must say that having nearly a week with almost no thinking or talking politics was a welcome vacation. But Sunday turns to Monday and time to get back in the saddle I suppose. The line is open, have at it…
