It’s a sleepy summer Sunday for me. What you got?
I’ve got a Father’s Day memory.
Sunday night, my dad made pancakes on the electric griddle. And sometime in the mid-60s, pancakes were followed by Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color on the Mediterranean console color TV he’d bought with poker winnings (at least that’s what he told the preacher when he dropped by on a stewardship call). The colors weren’t very natural, but they were color, by gosh.
Did pop know I cadged quarters from the pockets full of coins he always brought home from card games with his pals? I suspect he did.
