The line is open. And I’ll give a look behind the curtain on our daily video effort.
We try to record the video between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. It takes several more minutes to add some photos and headlines; upload it to YouTube; upload that to Facebook. I feel TV news people’s pain. In a slow news spell, headlines can be hard to come by at 1:30 p.m. So we improvise. Then, news breaks out.
Today it was news from City Hall on a story we’ve followed. It also included a resolution of the LRAFB lockdown, though we still await the rest of that story.
Oh, and I forgot to say why we go to video at mid-afternoon. Readership/viewership is highest before 5 p.m. Arkansas Blog: SFW.
* STORMY WEATHER: It’s blowing all across Arkansas. From Fort Smith to Paragould, trees are reported down, some metal buildings have overturned and water levels are rising from heavy rain.
