The agenda for the Little Rock City Board meeting Tuesday again includes a discussion of Uber and Lyft, the cell phone-driven car services that have come to other cities and already stirred some opposition here.
It’s the last item on a long agenda. It was on last week’s agenda, too, but the discussion of private club closing hours went so long that directors didn’t take up Uber. So it can’t be said for sure if the directors will get to the subject next week either.
The private clubs are on Tuesday’s agenda, too: First up is the club-agreed measure to provide additional security at those places, nine currently, that stay open until 5 a.m. Next up is Director Brad Cazort’s proposal to set closing time at 2 a.m., except 3 a.m. two days a week. That idea met a lot of board resistance.
The board meeting begins at 6 p.m.
