Heber Springs Mayor Jackie McPherson,
the Democratic candidate for 1st District Congress, has a new ad punching Republican Rep. Crawford for being one of only five members of the House to oppose a bill aimed at improving VA health care. Ironic touch: McPherson’s news release notes that even Rep. Tom Cotton voted for this bill and called it a needed step toward reform.

Out of step with Tom Cotton? THAT is out of step.

Crawford said the bill increased the federal deficit and the VA should look for places to cut “wasteful” spending first. He didn’t identify any.
