As expected, organizing is well advanced from a predominantly conservative church-led movement to fight the new Fayetteville ordinance intended to prevent discrimination in employment and housing on account of sexual orientation.

Here’s a website, which includes solicitations for money. The state Ethics Commission runs a few days behind in posting sometimes, so the lack of a ballot initiative committee filing for this group perhaps is in the mill, just not yet posted.


Petitions in favor of protecting those who want to discriminate against LGBT people may be signed at the Story Law Firm, Clardy’s Cobbler Shoppe, Christian Life Cathedral, Mission Boulevard Baptist Church and Beehive Mercantile in Springdale. Only Fayetteville voters’ signatures count.
