The Little Rock police announced today that they’ll mobilize to enforce the traffic law on following too close from Nov. 22 to Nov. 28.

A news release said distracted driving is a major cause of accidents, particularly rear-end collisions.

State law says drivers “shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent” considering speed and condition (a two-second rule according to the driver license guide) and also not closer than 200 feet.
