The city of Little Rock has scheduled two public meetings on the 2015 city budget, which includes no across-the-board raises for city employees (but does continue a $200,000 subsidy to the private Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce, whose political activities include working against policies that benefit organized labor, pus another $100,000 to the related Metropolitan Alliance.)

The meetings are at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at the Centre at University Park, 6401 W. 12th St., and at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at the Southwest Community Center, 6401 Baseline Road.

The charts are interesting. The flat line on many tax collections gives you a picture of a city that isn’t booming and explains the difficulty in paying more to city employees.
