Little Rock police report that a man driving a stolen Ford Mustang outran police in a chase across southwest Little Rock this morning at speeds over 120 miles per hour.

The car took off after an office attempted a stop following report of a stolen Mustang at University and Forbing Road. The high-speed chase was broken off when officers lost sight of the Mustang several miles away at Bankhead and Frazier Pike in College Station. Officers said a passenger in the car threw a gun out the window as the car passed over a bridge at I-440 and Springer Boulevard, but it couldn’t be found.
