* DOUBLETREE HOTEL CHANGES: As I mentioned yesterday the Little Rock Advertising and Promotion Commission gave a favorable review to most of the parts of a proposal to change the owner of the lease of the city property occupied by the Doubletree Hotel. One portion of the lease lies solely with the city of Little Rock and that’s still under review. One piece of news today was that the deal includes a promise to spend $5 million in renovations to the hotel. It will remain a Doubletree. A new management firm, Waterford Hotel Group, will operate it for the private investment group that owns the lease.
