*US HOUSE VOTES NO ON CRUCIAL PIECE OF TRADE DEAL: The House voted this afternoon to reject a piece of legislation that was intended to advance the Trans-Pacific Partnership, mostly because Democrats had myriad objections to the TPP. Labor concerns. Sovereignty concerns. Intellectual property concerns. President Obama addressed Congress in an attempt to allay critics within his party; he failed to do so. Conservatives are schadenfreuding it up, of course. The revolt of House Democrats on the TPP deserves its own post, but in the meantime check out this headline from the Drudge Report.
