Metroplan has issued its Metro Trends Economic Review and Outlook and the summary seems upbeat on economic trends in Central Arkansas
It says job growth has outpaced the national average since March; the unemployment rate has been dropping; three of four top job providers have been in services to business, hospitality and education and health; the housing market has been steady; Little Rocks’ Main Street, the so-called Creative Corridor, is rejuvenating.
You can see it all here, including a look at the “future of work” here — as “computers, robots, self-driving vehicles and other technologies replace human labor in more roles than ever.” (Why does that not necessarily lift my hopes about prospects for humans here, though those robots will need servicing, of course.)
