Gov. Asa Hutchinson is in Las Vegas today at the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show, it calls itself) and plans an announcement at 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. of two firearms-related companies creating jobs in Arkansas. You want gun friendly? Arkansas is your place.

UPDATE: Here’s the news:

* Sig Sauer, will locate an ammunition manufacturing facility in an existing building in Jacksonville. Hutchinson said that could create 50 jobs. Hutchinson said it was one of six companies he’d targeted for potential Arkansas projects after he took office. He noted Arkansas is ranked third per capita in the U.S. in firearm ownership.

* Remington Outdoor Company announced a plan to expand its ammunition plant in Lonoke, which could create 84 additional jobs.
