Former Gov. Mike Beebe has been named to the board of directors of Home BancShares, a bank holding company headed by his college friend John Allison.

Directors were paid between $18,500 and $104,175 (but generally toward the lower end last year depending on attendance and committee duties, plus $29,420 in stock, according to the annual proxy statement. Since leaving office, Beebe also has landed a spot on the Tyson Foods board and is of counsel to the Roberts Law Firm, whose members then included current Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s son. I was told he’s no longer with the firm.
