Rock Region Metro announced today a bargain summer youth pass to get kids around town.

$30 buys an unlimited pass, good June 1-Aug. 31, for students enrolled in greater Little Rock elementary and secondary schools. A 31-day student pass normally costs $19.50 a month.

Jarod Varner, director of the transit company, said he hoped the offer would sell more passes and increase revenue over past summers, plus give students more freedom to get to jobs and other activities.
