Members of the Baltimore Ravens football team kneeled and prayed BEFORE the National Anthem at a game Sunday. They were booed. They kneeled to pray for “unity, kindness and justice for all Americans.” They and the Steelers stood for the anthem.

The players who mounted the anthem demonstrations never meant disrespect for country or flag. They did want to make a statement about equal treatment under the law in the U.S. The sunshine patriots, clearly, want them to shut up — before, during or after the National Anthem.
