Little Rock police have a 12-year-old in custody in an attempted robbery last night of a Burger King  at 5900 Dreher Lane in Southwest Little Rock in which a gun was fired.

About 7:15 p.m. Monday witnesses said, a male demanded money from an employee, who thought he was joking. Then the youth pulled a handgun. Employees ran to the back and the suspect fired at them, then ran out the door. No one was struck by gunfire.

A description of the robber was broadcast, but the youth returned to the Burger King and turned himself over to officers and said he had done the shooting. He’s been charged as a juvenile with aggravated robbery.
