Blue Hog Report, the blog run by Little Rock lawyer Matt Campbell, appears to have scored another victory in the public interest.

He wrote earlier this week that a plan by Little Rock police to charge $3 for CDs containing responses to Freedom of Information requests would cost $3. Campbell noted that the law prohibits charging more than the cost of materials used to respond to a request.

Today, quoting an e-mail conversation, he says City Attorney Tom Carpenter agrees with his interpretation of the law and that it appears the cost of a CD to the LRPD is 58 cents.
