UPDATE: A Faulkner County jury late Tuesday acquitted Dr. Robert Rook, the Conway physician, on eight of 16 charges that he sexually assaulted women patients. The jury couldn’t reach a verdict on eight more charges and a mistrial was declared. This from KARK.
The jury that returned the eight not-guilty verdicts was composed of seven women and five men, ranging in age from 20s to 60s, KARK reported.
After two hours of closing arguments, a Faulkner County jury began deliberating on 16 sexual assault charges by nine women against Dr. Robert Rook, a Conway family practice physician.
The women said improperly touched them during examinations. He denied the allegations in trial testimony.
