PRESSING COMPLAINT: Salisa Harrison (right) with her mother Cheryl Ellis during interview in Little rock.

Salisa Luster Harrison,
who now lives in Little Rock, Tuesday filed a federal lawsuit in Louisville, Ky., alleging multiple failures by the Louisville police investigating a sexual assault of her more than 10 years ago.

The lawsuit — filed by attorneys including Mike Laux, who’s been active in Little Rock cases recently — failed to collect evidence, failed to do rape kit testing and generally responded poorly, if at all, to her complaints. She said she believes race was part of the reason.

WHAS in Louisville has reported extensively on the case.
