The Little Rock mayor’s race is shaping up as the  most expensive ever. Consider July financial reports:

Two candidates, Warwick Sabin and Frank Scott Jr., began “exploratory” committees months ago and reported at the end of July raising more than $400,000 between them. Two other candidates, Vincent Tolliver and Baker Kurrus, are late arrivals to the race and don’t yet have any campaign finance reports on file.

The July reports show Sabin with $187,611 on hand out of $257,224 raised and Scott with $64,993 on hand of $141,397 raised.

Incumbent Mayor Mark Stodola is not seeking re-election and had no opponent his last election. He carried over $78,000 from that race according to the last report he filed in 2017.
