Speaking of campaign advertising: Clarke Tucker, the Democratic candidate for 2nd District Congress, has issued his toughest TV yet against Republican incumbent Rep. French Hill.
Tucker does not mention the recent flap over a super PAC’s racist attack on Tucker airing on black radio stations (and the sponsor says he will not stop them). But he does mention other untruthful advertising, including one racist attack linking Tucker to El Salvadoran gang violence,
“We’ve now sadly watched French Hill say anything to cling to power,” Tucker says in his newly-released television ad. “He’s gone too far, claiming I support no border security and violent drug gangs. Really? Where is the decency?”
Truth is, Tucker notes, Hill voted to take health care coverage from the sick.
