Donald Blackburn, 59, was shot to death about 8 p.m. Monday after he allegedly attacked a property manager with a club.

Police said they were called to a fight at a housing development at 5805 Stagecoach Road. They found Blackburn with fatal wounds and John Parkman, 65, the property manager, with a head injury.

Witnesses told police that Blackburn attacked Parkman with a club and Parkman shot at Blackburn. Parkman was released without charges pending a review of the case by the prosecuting attorney.
