The Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission announced today that it has a tenant for a portion of the hangar formerly used by Hawker Beechcraft.
Afterglow Aircraft Solutions, an Arkansas company, will lease 11,871 square feet initially with plans to expand to 31,925 square feet and eventual employment of 60.

Hawker Beechcraft closed in 2012 amid financial troubles, idling 100 workers. The payroll had once been much larger — more than 600. The airport earlier had attracted an aircraft maintenance firm for a portion of the hangar as well as a fixed base operator. The Hawker facility includes more than 400,000 square feet of building space according to the airport’s website.
