The Arkansas Department of Transportation has announced it’s at work installing signs intended to remind people not to block the lefthand lane on multi-lane roads.

You may recall that the legislature — with some impatient speeders among them — in 2013 passed a law to prohibit impeding traffic by continuous operation in the lefthand lane. That can include operating at the maximum speed limit, as I understand it.

The highway agency’s slogan: “Be Polite, Keep Right.”

They might add: “You never know who might be packing and really p****ed off.”
