News on another name associated with the office of Little Rock mayor: Warwick Sabin, a former state representative who made an unsuccessful race for the mayor’s office last year, is off to a new job in Washington.
He announced on Facebook that he was going to work for the Aspen Institute in Washington as executive director of its Society of Fellows. He said:
It is exciting to be among such talented colleagues doing groundbreaking work across so many subject areas, and I look forward to helping advance AI’s mission.
Sabin’s held a variety of jobs since his graduation from the University of Arkansas and Oxford, including as an associate editor at the Arkansas Times, publisher of the Oxford American and, most recently, as senior director of U.S. programs at Winrock International.
The Institute describes itself as a nonprofit forum that brings people together to talk about critical issues. It has facilities in Colorado and Maryland in addition to the Washington base. The Society of Fellows is a support group for the Institute and oversees programs around the country.
