One more hat in the ring, the Atlantic reports:
Joe Biden is running. The former vice president will make his candidacy official with a video announcement next Wednesday, according to people familiar with the discussions who have been told about them by top aides.
Biden seems to be a frontrunner in a crowded field in polls that have included him. His previous runs for president have garnered little support, and he’ll have to overcome questions in the Democratic primary about his tenure as a senator, including his support for the Iraq War, his key role in fueling mass incarceration, and his vociferous support for credit card companies and the banking industry (which led him to clash with Elizabeth Warren and her consumer protection efforts long before she was a senator).
