Revelations about Donald Trump’s misconduct keep coming, so fast that a couple of major new stories were missing from the big headlines in the morning Arkansas Democrat-Gazette:
President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries, an assertion that prompted alarmed White House officials to limit access to the remarks to an unusually small number of people, according to three former officials with knowledge of the matter.
Donald Trump asked Wayne LaPierre of the NRA if the NRA could support him as he faces impeachment.LaPierre said Trump needed to “stop the games” — get right, in other words — on gun control legislation.
This was FRIDAY. Yesterday! With quid pro quo allegations raging on other fronts.
In short: Trump supports Russian interference in U.S. elections and will trade gun safety for political support from the rogue NRA.
Donald Trump must be impeached. Those who defend him — apparently every Republican politician in Arkansas, with the exception of Gov. Asa Hutchinson and his carefully couched words on the Ukraine extortion plot — should be ashamed. And defeated. But ….. Arkansas.
