Former Attorney General Dustin McDaniel tells me he’ll be holding a fund-raising lunch Oct. 24 for Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, one of the Democratic presidential candidates who hasn’t commanded much attention to date.

Some think Bullock’s progressive record and success in a Republican state that supported Trump should make him an attractive alternative when primary voters get further engaged.

Bullock hopes to raise some money at the event, but McDaniel said he’d be happy if people just came and gave a listen. RSVP here or write Mike Mendoza at mendoza@stevebulloch.com or call 949-735-7515.

UPDATE: The event will be at 1415 W. 7th Street.
