The Arkansas State Library sent 22,400 pairs of eclipse glasses to the North Little Rock Public Library System ahead of the April 8 solar eclipse, and one of those pairs has your name on it. They’re up for grabs at William F. Laman Public Library, the Argenta Public Library and, for North Little Rock residents, “The Rover,” the library system’s mobile branch. Plus, they are leaving it all on the stage in their promotion efforts; please behold this eclipse library nerd glory:
The library system also has a couple of eclipse-specific events coming up, both of which are free to attend:

`
Date and Time: Wednesday, April 3, at 4 PM
Location: Argenta Library, 420 Main Street, North Little Rock

Eclipse Readiness Night at Laman

Additionally, teens can encounter Big Eclipse Energy in The Loft.
Beyond the eclipse, NLR’s library system has beefed up its offerings over the last few years. Library cardholders can check out tools, cooking equipment, telescopes and wifi hotspots, and Laman Library’s “Studio at Laman” is outfitted with all sorts of crafty tools like sewing machines, Cricuts and embroidery machines. Neat!
