Saturday’s game

Arkansas (3-6, 1-5 in SEC) vs. Mississippi State (2-7, 0-6 in SEC)

Site: War Memorial Stadium, Little Rock

Time: 1 p.m.

Radio/TV: The ARSN network will broadcast the game on radio affiliates. The game will not be televised.

What James says: Ole Miss had a horrible offense, but Mississippi State’s offense is beyond description it’s so bad. We’re playing the two worst offenses in the Southeastern Conference back-to-back. The only thing positive I can see about Mississippi State is the coach, Sylvester Croom. He’s a class act and he’s faced some difficult times working to get that program back on track, but they are not good offensively, defensively or with the kicking game. Arkansas should win fairly easily.

Last week’s first SEC win for the Hogs: The impressive things about it were the fact that Arkansas’s football team refused to quit after being down at halftime, and the play of Casey Dick, the poise he showed, and that Arkansas was able to create a passing game that they hadn’t had all year.

The pick: 38-14, Arkansas.
