Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizza restaurant on President Clinton Avenue in the River Market district has jazzed up its weekday lunch offerings to feature a $6.49 buffet. The buffet has salad (both iceberg style and Romaine lettuce, and a variety of dressings including a chunky blue cheese) and 10 different variations of the thin-crust pizza. We found such versions as sausage, a Canadian bacon/sausage/pepperoni mix, spinach and others. Add tea and tip and the total will run you close to $10, but it’s all you can eat from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pine Bluff, always hoping for one of the famed chain restaurants to finally find it, will be welcoming a Chili’s Southwestern Grill to the south end of the city. A Chili’s will open near the Wal-Mart Supercenter at the intersection of Interstate 540 and Highway 63 (Olive Street). Since the opening of I-540 and the development of The Pines mall in recent years, the Southeast Arkansas city has seen such chains as Red Lobster come its way.
