THURSDAY 6/5

The Hot Springs Music Festival, an event that brings together some 250 musicians from all over the world, starts to wind down its first week. For another nine days, the festival will present nightly concerts alternating between orchestral, chamber, solo recital, vocal, choral and chamber opera repertoire. Tonight, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs, the chamber players play selections from Benjamin Franklin, Bach and Mozart, 7:30 p.m., $10. At Juanita’s, local rockers Kingsdown headline with emo favorites Dreamfast and Jaris supporting, 9 p.m., $6. Cajun’s hosts local party band Tragikly White, 9 p.m., $5. Upscale Underground presents its regular live karaoke event Solfude at Crush Wine Bar, 8 p.m., $5. As they always do, the Ted Ludwig Trio holds it down at the Afterthought, with Mary Kai providing vocal assistance, 8 p.m., $5.

 

FRIDAY 6/6

From Austin, Texas, Reckless Kelly plays its popular brand of country rock at Revolution, 9 p.m., $10. Down the street at Sticky Fingerz, skewed, Oklahoma-based rockers the Hosty Duo perform at Sticky Fingerz with local act Vince Martini & the Highballs, 9:30 p.m., $5. With three lead singers, Mean Green Music Machine tackles genres from R&B to rock to country at Cajun’s, 9 p.m., $5. Tragikly White keeps the party moving at the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. At the Peabody’s River Top Party, local cover band jet420 performs, 8 p.m., $5.

SATURDAY 6/7

Freewheeling Southern rock/bluegrass act Charliehorse treks down from Fayetteville to perform at White Water Tavern, 9 p.m., $5. One of Arkansas’s finest, the Munks, play its semi-regular gig at the Afterthought, 9 p.m., $7. Flag Day is still a week away, but it’s never too early to celebrate. The Little Rock Wind Symphony presents “A Stars and Stripes Celebration” in MacArthur Park, 7 p.m., free. Local jam band Weakness for Blondes headlines at Cajun’s Wharf, 9 p.m., $5. Tragikly White, out, apparently, to set some kind of record, plays party rock at Sticky Fingerz, 9:30 p.m., $5.

 

MONDAY 6/9

Local-boy-made-biggish Chase Pagan returns to White Water Tavern to sing falsetto, earnestly. Orlando’s Gasoline Heart opens with Stepsonday, 9 p.m., $5. The Rep hosts the exclusive runway show “Passion for Fashion,” 6:30 p.m., $75.
