Ne-Yo, steely.

Camden-born Ne-Yo scored a nomination for Album of the Year last night for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in February. Joining him are three unbelievably decent albums, Radiohead’s “In Rainbows,” Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” and Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’s “Raising Sand,” and the latest from Coldplay. Ne-Yo has no shot. Geriatrics and “epic” statements by weepy white boys always win.

Other hopeful nominations: MIA’s “Paper Planes” for Record of the Year, Estelle’s “American Boy” for Song of the Year, Al Green’s “Lay It Down” for Best R&B album.
