Bonnie Montgomery, who you may recognize either as the composer of a Bill Clinton opera a few years ago (covered by the New Yorker) or as a beloved local country singer-songwriter (she’s released two EPs, “Cruel” and “Joy,” via Fast Weapons Records), has finished a full-length self-titled album and it’s due out July 29.

You can catch her live this Saturday at the Root Cafe / Green Corner Store Block Party or celebrate the album release at the White Water Tavern on August 8. In the meantime, here’s the first single, “Black County”:
