It’s that time of week again where we turn it over to all of you. This week was all about pizza for me, and one week is obviously nowhere near enough time to talk about all the great options available in our great state.
I’ve got some great suggestions on pizza joints to try, so we’ll do another one of these “pizza weeks” in the future. In particular, I need to hit Irianna’s, Deluca’s in Hot Springs, NYPD, ZAZA, and several others. Got a particular pie you’d like to see reviewed? Let me know in the comments.
Our next “theme week” will happen sometime in September, and I’m teaming up with Eat Arkansas alum Kat Robinson of Tie Dye Travels to talk about pasta. Kat and I have worked on a few projects together this year — I had a piece in the recent issue of Arkansauce that she edited, while she came through with an excellent piece about agritourism in our summer issue of Arkansas Food and Farm. It’s going to be a cross-blog, cross-state adventure of carb-soaked goodness, so stay tuned for all that.
Last week, hugh mann wondered what all the hoopla was about Big Orange, saying that it was good but maybe not worth the price tag. Regular commenter Raven had nothing but love for local favorite The Pantry, and I think we’re all looking forward to the new Pantry Crest coming soon. The dog days of summer are upon us, and Arkansas has finally decided to turn the thermostat up after a wonderfully mild summer, so maybe you all can share with us your favorite ways to keep cool this summer. My personal way? As many scoops of Loblolly double vanilla as I can fit in my stomach.
Over to you all!
